Safair Operations (PTY) Ltd, incorporated in 1965, is wholly owned by the ASL Aviation Group, a major Transport and Logistics group listed on the Belgium Stock Exchange.

ASL Aviation Group is a significant international group, providing aviation services. The groups companies are centered around three main activities: Air transportation, Support services and Leasing.

The Aviation Leasing Division of the ASL Group, consisting of Safair and various other SPC's, provides reliable and safe aviation services that meet the best international standards, consisting of full maintenance aircraft leases, provision of flight crew and airline support. Safair and its associated companies, Air Contractors, Europe Airpost, ACE and ACLAS are well positioned to satisfy customer requirements for large commercial jet and turbo prop aircraft as well as helicopter and general aviation aircraft requirements.

Based at Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa, Safair has additional facilities at Cape Town International Airport, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Safair Operations is currently the leading commercial operator of the Lockheed Hercules Aircraft, with a fleet of 8 x L100-30 Hercules. Current operations with this type are on a worldwide basis. Other aircraft in our fleet consists of 1 x B737-300 Passenger aircraft, 2 x 737-300 Freighter aircraft and 1 x 737-400 Combi aircraft. Safair specializes in leasing and chartering of passenger and cargo aircraft to domestic and international operators including South African Airways, 1 Time, Mango Airline, KLM, Jet Airways and DHL to name a few.

Safair Technical (Pty) Ltd trading as "Jetworx", our Engineering and Maintenance facility, having FAA, JAA/EASA, IOSA registration and RSA CAA approval, is on a par with the best in the world and supports our own and our customers' operations worldwide.
